How Decorative Stair Risers And Paint Enhanced An Entryway
Rebecca Propes with @rebeccadiy was a Featured Designer for the 2021 Fall One Room Challenge, and in those 8 short weeks, she decided to take on her stairway and entryway for this challenge. Using a lot of color and designs, her bright and fun style continued to shine through in her revealed space.
THE PLAN
Rebecca’s entryway was a classic entryway with gray walls and laminate floors, but it did not match her home’s bright aesthetic. Covering it up with some pink paint and gold decor for a while, it still never really fit right and she always believed that was just a quick fix. That is why she decided to take it to a whole other level and chose to completely remodel that space and her staircase for the One Room Challenge.
PRODUCTS USED
Her plan quickly surfaced as she browsed through some inspiration photos and stumbled across our Decorative Stair Risers. These risers were the perfect solution to giving her staircase the quick refresh it needed.
After all of her design decisions were finalized, she noticed that she left out one wall in the design; the ceiling. Wanting to create a ceiling that matched the rest of the space, she chose to include Ornamental Decorative Millwork’s Ambrosia Maple Beams in her entryway and the space quickly came together.
THE FINISHED SPACE
Fast forward to the One Room Challenge reveal day, and Rebecca’s entryway was ready to go. Complete with bright colors, patterns, and Ambrosia Maple Beams, this space now has a life of its own and stands out in an amazing way. It is the first impression guests see when visiting her home, and she could not be more proud of how the newly designed space ties into the rest of her home.
“I mean…I had to paint the railing PINK but the decorative stair risers and Well Woven Leopard Runner are for sure having their moment on the stairs.
