Renovating A Staircase From Scratch
We saw many great projects last year, but one renovation stands out to be one of the best flips we have ever seen.
Back in early 2021, the Brownstone Boys reached out to L.J. Smith to see if they could assist with their great undertaking of flipping an old home in Brooklyn. The old staircase was not only unfinished but extremely unsafe. L.J. Smith agreed to the challenge and worked with their team to get all of the necessary products shipped to New York.
The Plan
As you can see, the staircase in the space that Jordan and Barry took on was not ideal. They wanted to take this old and run-down space and create a bright and modern home for their clients. To do this seemed impossible, but the team at L.J. Smith got to work discussing the best products to fit the space, and within just a few weeks the design fell together seamlessly.
“This staircase was in rough existing condition so it was a complete rebuild. It was also one of our first experiences piecing together an entire staircase. Thanks to L.J. Smith Stairs as they made our shopping experience easy and dare we even say... fun! Who would have thought that balusters, railings, and newel posts would be one of our favorite shopping trips this year!?”
Products Used
So, how did the Brownstone Boys transform this staircase? Check out all of the products they used in this transformation below.
The Finished Space
This project was no small feat, but Jordan and Barry did an incredible job and the finished space reflects their amazing renovation skills.
“First impressions are important. At the Simply Cyn renovation the open floor plan and beautiful stairs are all brand new! The newel post, balusters, and handrail from L.J. Smith Stairs are a welcoming party we would be happy to have greet us everyday. Our favorite part you ask? The new skylight that spills natural light down all the way to the base of the staircase.”
