New and Improved Concealed Iron Baluster Fastener

Creating a clean, on-trend look when replacing or installing balusters has become a priority for many designers and builders. L.J. Smith Stair Systems has listened to those needs of their customers and has made that goal even easier to attain by developing a brand new Concealed Iron Baluster Fastener.

This fastener makes it simpler for builders, re-modelers, contractors, and even homeowners tackling a DIY project of installing half-inch hollow square iron balusters.

In stock and available now, the new Concealed Iron Baluster Fastener was developed for use in all applications: open tread stairs, kneewall stairs, and level runs.

If you recall last year, L.J. Smith introduced a fastening kit for ½” hollow square balusters, but that kit can only work for installs on open tread and level run applications. This new fastener will work on all three applications: open tread stairs, level runs, and kneewall stairs also.

Each assembled fastener includes easy to follow instructions and can be used with more than 25 styles of 1/2” square-designed hollow iron balusters offered by L.J. Smith in Low Sheen Black, Matte Nickel, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Oil Rubbed Copper, Antique Bronze, and Silver Vein.

This new fastener design provides a clean, finished look without the need for adhesives or shoes. Simply install the lag of the assembled fastener into the wood tread, kneewall plate, or landing tread and slide the bottom of the trimmed baluster over the fastener until the baluster is tight against the wood mounting surface.
